EXCHANGES & RETURNS
Thank you for your business. We want you to love and wear your Lily Guilder Design pieces.
The custom order process involves at least one face to face fitting. Be sure to communicate clearly so your pieces turn out as you dream them. Custom order pieces are made to your measurements and specifications and are non returnable and non refundable. We strive to create custom pieces exactly to suit your wishes but please note that they may come out slightly different than you imagined. We are crafty humans not wizards or robots.
If you are unhappy with your online purchase, we will accept an exchange for another garment or return for store credit valid for one year from issue.
We only exchange unworn, unwashed, unaltered Lily Guilder Design pieces. Please note that Lily Guilder Design garments are made in limited edition production runs or are completely one of a kind. Some styles will not be available in certain sizes and colors.
If you’d like to exchange or return an item from your order, you must notify us within 14 days of receiving your item based on the tracking delivery date. Please send your email to email@example.com. The item must be returned to us in original, unworn, unwashed, unaltered condition within 30 days of your purchase. We will not process your return/ exchange if you do not meet the conditions or timeline.
- We do not accept returns/ exchanges for items purchased at a retail store, event, or festival.
- All purchases for online sale/ clearance items are final.
- Include a note (handwritten is fine) with your original order number, the reason for exchange/ return and if possible what you’d like to exchange the piece for. We want you to have a piece you will wear.
- Customers are responsible for paying for shipping costs for exchanges and returns.
We are pleased to offer Regular Fedex or First class shipping.
Ready to wear garments and sample sale items are shipped within 3-5 days of your purchase.
You will receive a tracking number when your order ships. Please double check your mailing address and email to make sure we have the correct information. If you have not received your item within 10-12 days, it is your responsibility to track your package. If the package shows it was delivered safely and you do not receive, it is not Lily Guilder Design’s responsibility. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ADDRESS IS SAFE TO LEAVE PACKAGES AT. If it is not safe, email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask for “signature required” for no extra cost. Many of the items for sale are one of kind or limited edition so when in doubt, please ask for signature required.
Custom fees are the responsibility of the customer, we must state the value of your order on the package.
Made to order, upcycle, and revamp items ship in 2-3 weeks. If you need your item sooner or with special requests email caitlin@lilyguilderdesign.
Custom orders are an involved process and require at least one face to face fitting. Allow at least 8 weeks for the complete process. We appreciate your business and can sometimes accommodate an expedited order for an additional fee. Where do I wear clothing like this?
Any time you want to feel special and celebrate. Great for music and arts festivals and dress up parties. It is fun to put Lily Guilder Design pieces on and to dance around your living room.
What is the deal with these straps?
Some festivals are hot during the day and cold at night. All Lily Guilder Design custom coats convert from coats to capes for ultimate comfort on the dance floor and at sunrise. Don’t lose your special coat by putting it on the ground where it can get spilled on or snatched, be your own coat rack.
How do I care for faux fur and sequins?
I recommend to hand wash all custom Lily Guilder Design pieces with gentle soap and allow to drip dry in the sunshine. We offer laundering and repair services for your custom pieces, email for details.

Are you environmentally friendly?
While there are no options for organic stretch velvet, sequins or faux fur, I make sure to use every last piece of fabric I purchase. A lot of energy goes into the production of these materials and I am certain not to waste a morsel (most of my accessories are created from my offcuts)
